Ginger Lemon Tea

Lemon and ginger are two ingredients known for settling stomach upset. Together, they pack a double punch to tummy troubles.

This recipe can be made with either fresh or dried ingredients.

Ingredients: Lemon (or lemon zest), Ginger (dried or fresh), Fresh Water

Instructions:

1. Prepare your cup or teapot by warming it with hot water from the tap.

2. Boil water in a tea kettle or pot.

3. Prepare lemon and ginger for steeping by placing both ingredients in a tea ball. If you do not have a tea ball, you can wrap the ingredients in a coffee filter and secure it with a twist tie or rubber band.

4. Once the water boils, empty the warmed cup or teapot and place your tea ball in the vessel.

5. Pour steaming hot water over the tea ball.

6. Allow to steep 2-8 minutes depending on your preference. Longer brewing time means stronger tea.

7. Remove the tea ball with a teaspoon and enjoy your freshly brewed lemon ginger tea.

*add a spoonful of honey if you want sweet tea

**add a splash of whiskey to reduce pain, reduce blood pressure, treat inflammation, and to help get you to sleep

This tea also tastes great when served cold. For iced tea – place in fridge for an hour or two, pour over ice, and enjoy!
