Yesterday morning (02/04/2013) Mom and I made a trip into Bismarck so that Mom could testify on House Bill 1426. Before Mom could testify, however, she had to have the written version hole-punched with a special hole puncher that made particularly large holes so that when it was put in the record book it would turn the page easier.

The Clothesline Project Comes to NDSU

* get help
* get out
*get a (better) life

by Jacqueline Dotzenrod – HPR Contributing Writer

Women of the Midwest fondly say “farewell” to those bygone days when prairie wives would haul water from the well, heat it over a fire and scrub their knuckles raw over a washboard to clean the laundry. But there is one aspect of this chore coming back into style – the clothesline.

This week at the North Dakota State University campus, the clothesline is serving a new role in giving students and faculty a chance to air out unpleasantness from their past. The Clothesline Project is a nationwide movement that began in 1990 as part of an annual “Take Back the Night” march and rally in Hyannis, Massachusetts. by Jacqueline Dotzenrod

House Bill 1440 would repeal that law, thus allowing residents access to lower-cost prescription medication.
